Fritz began his career as a contractor on the south side of Chicago, before moving to Champaign where he met Dan Harrington. The two worked together and expanded Fritz’s relationship as a contractor with Nabisco into an industrial development company that ultimately became Becknell. Fritz traveled the country building industrial buildings and was key to every project he was involved in. Fritz retired several years ago but remained involved on Becknell’s board of directors.
He was very proud of what Becknell became and Fritz will be missed greatly here at Becknell. His impact on the culture of Becknell will be felt for years to come.
