Becknell Industrial, together with its partner Ares Management, is excited to announce that it has been selected by one of the largest supply chain services leaders in the United States, providing grocery and foodservice solutions for convenience stores, mass merchants, drug stores and chain restaurants, to expand their operations in the San Antonio market. Once complete, the 248,500 square-foot cold storage build-to-suit facility will feature approximately 47,000 SF of freezer space, 23,000 SF of cooler space, 16,850 SF of refrigerated dock space, 36’ clear height and 42 dock positions. The client will have the option to expand the building by 122,600 SF.
In addition, Becknell has begun construction on two speculative buildings totaling nearly 700,000 SF measuring 258,715 & 439,809, SF respectively. The 258,715 SF building will feature 32’ clear warehouse ceilings and 50 dock positions. The 439,809 SF building will feature 36’ clear warehouse ceilings and 84 dock positions. Becknell entered the San Antonio market in 2003 and currently owns four properties totaling 360,000 SF. These new investments will increase Becknell’s San Antonio holdings to seven buildings totaling nearly 1.3M SF.
