After 6 years with Becknell Industrial, Charley Anderson has retired. Charley joined the Becknell team in 2013 as a Field Superintendent.
Since joining, he oversaw a total of 7 projects and was most recently the project superintendent on the 325,000 square foot build-to-suit facility for Daifuku Wynright in Hobart, IN. Charley has worked on the site of the Magna Expansion in Liberty, MO, Grahm Packaging in Bowling Green, KY, Old Wisconsin in Sheboygan, WI, Magna in Belvidere, IL, Merrillville Spec in Merrillville, IN, ITR in Hobart, IN and Daifuku Wynright in Hobart, IN.
Charley’s favorite project was Graham Packaging in Bowling Green because he was able to learn about how to find and fill sink holes. “The pace is a lot simpler and slower in Bowling Green. Everyone from the building department to local subcontractors share the old fashion southern charm.” Charley’s most challenging project was the Wynright facility in Hobart because the building extended through the winter which meant dealing with snow, ice, and rain during precast, steel electrons and the roof had lots of challenges. On top of that, he oversaw 15 bridge cranes that had to properly align 30 crane beams as the rails have minimal tolerance.
Thank you Charley for your time at Becknell!
